WIKING Helikopter Service GmbH was founded in 1975 and has specialised for 40 years in offshore flights in the North and Baltic Sea areas. WIKING operates Airbus Helicopters H145, Leonardo Helicopters AW139 and Sikorsky S-76B helicopters.
Originally founded to support sea pilot transport in the German Bight, WIKING is still one of the pivotal transfer systems supplying vessels in the German Bight with sea pilots.
In addition to sea pilot operations, WIKING also operates in the oil and gas and the offshore wind industries, performing transport flights for personnel and materials, and providing helicopter support to supply vessels and platforms.
Since mid-2012 WIKING has worked in partnership with ADAC Luftrettung in operating a 24-hour emergency evacuation service for employees in the offshore wind industry, based at JadeWeserAirport.
The WIKING Maintenance Organisation, which is accredited under EASA Part 145, maintains and services its own helicopters, and helicopters belonging to customers from elsewhere in Europe.
