Sea Pilot transfer
In the German Bight ships above a certain size or carrying particular types of cargo are obliged to take a sea pilot on board to assist the Captain in navigating the respective sea areas, rivers and harbors. In addition to pilot transport by boat, WIKINGhelicopters are used to transfer sea pilots
Since its foundation in 1975,WIKINGhas flown over 112,000 accident-free flight hours, predominantly in operations at sea and in the coastal areas of the North Sea, as well as supplying offshore facilities. Over 55,000 accident-free sea pilot transfers have been carried out.
Emergency rescue / Emergency services
Emergency medical care for offshore wind farms
WIKINGworks in cooperation with Offshore Response Safety GmbH (ORS) to provide emergency medical assistance to employees based at offshore wind farms. For this purpose WIKINGalways has an aircraft and crew on stand-by. ORS provides the medical personnel and the medical equipment. This service is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.!
The WIKINGHelikopter Service GmbH Maintenance Organisation, with EASA Part 145 authorisation, is located with hangar and workshops at the JadeWeserAirport base and is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. WIKINGis a CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation), authorised by EASA and by the German Aviation Authorities.

WIKING operates its own ground operation with handling.
The "Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger" (DGzRS: German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked) trained regularly, so that in case of emergency, every move sits - for example, the rescue by helicopter. Now they have trained together with colleagues from all over Europe at the international "Crew Exchange" in Wilhelmshaven. Wiking Helikopter Service has taken delivery of another Airbus H145 helicopter in offshore configuration. This brings the company’s H145 fleet to a total of five aircraft, after initial deliveries of two helicopters in 2016 and 2017 and two leased H145s. It continues the successful story of Wiking in the offshore industry with the H145 being a quickly adaptable helicopter type for numerous missions
