Offshore & Onshore Passenger & Material Transport by helicopter is provided by our highly qualified and experienced personnel. Our Pilots dispose an average experience of 7'500 flight hrs, some already more than 14'000 hrs. WIKING’s Flight Operations Dispatch at the Airport Wilhelmshaven-Mariensiel is operative for 24 hours every day.

Major Activities

Sea-Pilot Transfer Service

Since its foundation, WIKING's main activity is the Sea-Pilot Transfer Service performed on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Transport.

The Sea-Pilot Service operated in the German Bight has proved itself as outstanding for more than 30 years. At any time, day or night and also under bad weather condition with wind forces up to 11, the Sea-pilot is safely on board before the ship enters the crowded area of the German Bight.

Rescue Operations in the German Bight & the Baltic Sea are performed in cooperation with the Central Command for Maritime Emergencies Germany, a joint institution of the federal government and the 5 coastal states.

WIKING is a member of the “Küstenschutz”-consortium that comprises the three leading towage companies in Germany. As such we are the spearhead of emergency forces allocating stand-by facilities for salvages in North & Baltic Sea.
